As a wedding celebrant I will collaborate closely with you to create an experience that is authentic and true to you.

There really are no limits and you may wish to involve family and friends in the ceremony or you may want to play your favourite music when the bride or groom enters the room. About Me

I have always been interested in words and the sense of significance and meaning that words can bring – especially when combined with the dramatic focus and presence of ritual.  At school, I loved drama and music, then went on to study English and Religious Studies at university. For a number of years, I taught these subjects in secondary schools, and there, too, was able to nurture my interest in people and acquire a genuine love and understanding of the diversity of human nature.

These interests and the life I lived kept me busy and fulfilled for many years, until 2010 when I decided to pursue my personal development by undertaking a training with the OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation. That was completed in 2012 with my graduation and ordination as a celebrant and interfaith minister.

Since 2012 I have conducted countless weddings, quite a few funerals, and some baby-naming ceremonies.  Recently I have experienced a resurgence of my original interest in religion and spirituality.  Not in the manner that most of us think of religion – as a system of beliefs and prescribed understandings about life and what might lie beyond life – but as an exploration of ways, means, thoughts, and, above all, practices that help us to connect with the divine, with our own deep inner selves, and perhaps most importantly, with those who are our nearest and dearest.
